I am Dr. Roland Castringius, a seasoned management consultant and interim manager based in Berlin, Germany. With over two decades of experience, I have had the privilege of working across diverse sectors such as rail, logistics, automotive, and technology. My expertise lies in project management, strategic planning, organizational transformation, and leading complex, high-impact projects for major global companies. Throughout my career, I have undertaken significant roles including enhancing the "Digitale Schiene Deutschland" program for DB Netz, managing rail vehicle projects for Deutsche Bahn with Alstom, and serving as Chief Transformation Officer at kp pentaplast and Rubix. My tenure at McKinsey & Company further honed my skills in strategic growth and operational efficiency. Beyond my professional endeavors, I am passionate about music and enjoy playing the violin in an orchestra. In my free time, I also indulge in cinema, history, politics, and outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, and biking. I look forward to connecting with you all and contributing to our shared goals.

I would post project opportunities I hear of in the community. They would be mostly limited to the DACH region. I would also offer advise o any questions regarding the European market and practices here.
It would be helpful to share project opportunities and maybe also form teams to offer joint service to companies. I think it would also make sense to share disguised project highlights on a regular basis via video conferences.
During my studies, I was a tour guide on a Spanish cruise ship with mostly German guests. This ship took me to about 90 countries and Antarctica. It was a great time of my life.
I am proud of initiating the "Privatoper" in Berlin. There we meet every year for a week to practice and then stage an opera which is hardly known or completely unknown. We do that with an ensemble of about 80 people. We call it "Privatoper" because the slogan is: "From friends for friends". It is a zero-budget project, and this year we will have the 9th occasion.
I know a lot about European history, which always fascinated me.
