Sharing my insights and unique perspectives could be of benefit to community members and the work which they undertake. Having lived and worked in several emerging economies in Africa as well as having exposure to North American based projects allows me to bring unique contributions to both formal and informal settings.
Over the past year I have been actively seeking opportunities to operate in a global setting by doing more work in Africa, The Middle East and North America. Being part of a broad community like NorthLawn can be helpful in helping me to stay up to date about developments, trends and opportunities happening across the globe.
I was not very sporty growing up so I'm busy playing catch-up...§I only learned how to ride a bike in my late 30's and i'm currently learning how to swim.
Starting (and running) a successful business while simultaneously being fully present with my family (three kids aged 5, 7 and 11). Work-Life balance is something all of us aspire to achieve but rarely manage to get right. I am super proud that I was able to design a life and lifestyle that enabled me to get a great balance.
I travel extensively in Southern Africa and I make sure that I soak in as much as I can of different cultures, languages, customs etc. Over time I think I have become a master solo-traveller and I have built a good instinct when travelling about where to go, what to do, etc
There is a great genre of music that emerged from South Africa during COOVID 19 called Amapiano. The music has spawned a lot of dance trends on TikTok but I also think it's great background music when doing some deep thinking. Notable artists are Kabza De Small and Kelvin Momo.
