Presently contracting with Bell Creek Consulting (Senior Consultant & Manager) Prior experience includes: - State of Connecticut (Fellow Senior Advisor to the Governor for Economic Development) - McKinsey & Company (Public & Social Sector Expert Consultant) - Zearn (Product Associate for EdTech) - US Treasury (Budget and Performance Analyst) - Teach for America (High School Economics)
I'm a public and social sector expert that has worked across education, government, and consulting. After 7 years at McKinsey and a 1-year fellowship with the Governor of Connecticut, I decided to pursue independent consulting, currently working with a group of other independent consultants and contractors for Bell Creek Consulting. I am most interested in solving problems that can positively impact societal outcomes, whether through public, private, or nonprofit sectors. I'm based in Rhode Island (a little over an hour from Boston) and spend my free time with my wife and 4-year old daughter or escaping to play pickleball, my current hobby that will last as long as my knees do.
- Syracuse University: Masters in Public Administration - University of Maryland: Bachelors in Criminal Justice
I have a pretty large network from working across organizations over the last dozen or so years, and love finding ways to introduce people to others. At this stage I also have been an independent consultant for~1.5 years - long enough to be comfortable but not long enough to have forgotten what it's like to be new - so can help support others new to the concept and lifestyle.
Would love to know all types of advice on independent consulting, including but not limited to: - Identifying new opportunities and balancing those with existing commitments - Growing a current portfolio of expertise while specializing in the areas you know best - Maintaining a positive mindset about your career and future beyond any contract date
Over a ~12 year period, I lived in 7 different states (background check documents were brutal)
Recently finished first (along with my doubles partner) in my first formal pickleball tournament
