- Engagement may look different for different types of people/ roles/ contribution
- Period where people can show are “good standing”.
- Probationary period on the way in / out
- Point system where people have certain degrees and types of engagement (e.g., bringing a client, have a 1-1 chat, attending events, participation on Slack, etc.)
- Asking people in community for ways they’d like to engage with the community
- Creating cohorts/ timing of actions
- weighted scoring system with ~3-4 big categories. can have "engagement" (e.g., slack messaging) or "taking initiative" (e.g., leading workshop / lunch n learn) , bringing in clients or members.. could fall under "taking initiative" or 3rd category "business development”

- Whats the right point amount by activity? (e.g., bizdev, chatting with others)
- How many points are required? Stacked ranking, threshold, etc.?
- What are the “types” of membership? (e.g., new/ provisional member, full member, potential issue member)
